I started repairing computers 20+ years ago and I opened my business in 2005. I specialize in residential customers, but I also service companies. My specialty in the computer repair business is In Home Service. I realize there are many people that don't feel comfortable unhooking everything to take their computer to someone to have repaired. I strive to always provide same day or next service and I work on both PC's and Laptops. I feel by working out of my home I have lower overhead costs versus having a store front, which helps me to be able to keep my rates at a reasonable level. I am able to do everything a customer may need, from removing viruses, spyware/malware, upgrades, building custom computers, etc.
My wife was quite instrumental in my decision to open my own business. As I said I had been working on and repairing computers for quite a few years, I had taken an early retirement from my career and my wife thought I should start my own business. I thought a lot about it and took the leap first by taking a course and earning a diploma and then getting the licenses etc. that I needed before starting my business which has come to be an very enjoyable second career. It has been much more than just making money for me, it has been the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and be able to assist them and in some cases instruct them on how to avoid problems and how to protect themselves from viruses and the like. It has also been very rewarding to me that some of them have not only been customers but become friends also.
Home business office pictures, as you can see I have an area to work on both desktop and laptops and the area where I can do my paperwork.
